The family is under attack. About half of marriages in the U.S. end in divorce. One third of children are born out of wedlock. And definitions of marriage and family are being politicized.
At Countryside we believe the family is fundamentally important to God’s design for churches and society. So beginning March 1, our spring Discovery Institute will focus on Family Matters: building healthy homes in an unhealthy world.
While this workshop will be practical for families with children at home, it is intended to address the larger issue of how God designed families. Everyone has a stake in understanding and encouraging the biblical principles that strengthen our homes.
These principles apply to dysfunctional families, traditional families and blended families. The workshop will be taught by pastors Wally Metts and Rob Stewart and will include panel discussions and break out groups in addition to biblical exposition.
There are four sessions (March 1, March 29, April 19 and May 3 at 5:00 p.m.) and the workshop is open to everyone. Childcare will be provided.
