Together again
In 2008 seven men from Countryside attended the Together for the Gospel conference in Louisville. This year we were blessed to take 26.
Of course we were all challenged and stretched by the messages of men like John Piper, John MacAuthur and Mark Dever. However, the greatest blessing was the opportunity to sit down and consider how we might better live out the truths of the Gospel in our lives and in our church.
T4G is based on the conviction that the gospel of Jesus Christ has been misrepresented, misunderstood, and marginalized in many churches and among those who proclaim the name of Christ. The goal of these friendships, conferences, and networks is therefore to reaffirm this central doctrine of the Christian faith and to encourage local churches to do the same.
We hope that the work of God will continue to bear fruit in the years to come. As part of this commitment we will be studying together some of the books made available at the conference. The first discussion group, this summer, will be on What is the Gospel? by Greg Gilbert and D. A. Carson on Thursdays, June 3rd and 17th at 7:00 PM
